横須賀市（よこすかし）は、神奈川県南東部の三浦半島に位置する市。中核市に指定されている。旧三浦郡。神奈川県南東部に位置する三浦半島の北半分を占め、市域の東側は東京湾（浦賀水道）、西側は相模湾に面する。東京湾唯一の自然島である猿島も行政区域に含まれる。行政区域内標高の最高点は大楠山の標高242mであり三浦半島の最高峰となっている。それほど標高が高い山はないが、中央部は山間部や急峻な丘陵部（三浦丘陵）が中心で平地は少ない。そのために古くから海岸線の埋め立てが行われており、現在の中心市街地（京急の横須賀中央駅周辺）も大部分が埋立地にある。
